The government has always insisted that citizens have basic rights and can pursue freedom. At the same time, they are blocked by different rules. What is freedom? Freedom has become a political propaganda package, so that the public once expected the existence and time of freedom, ironically it does not exist.

 

It was intended to communicate with non-human beings from the guano event, but changed to a humorous story due to moral concepts and impossibility. The protagonist merges with the person in the box into a helicopter, then flies in the sky to fight the pigeons, and finally makes the pigeons pregnant. All this is fictional and impossible to achieve, like a dream.

 

The only thing that the government cannot manage is the dream, which may be the most free space. At the same time, the pigeon symbolizes peace and freedom, what we desire to get, the story makes the pigeon pregnant seems to have it, but it is not true. In dreams, we don’t care about the eyes of others, take off clothes and have sex with other people in the street and feel proud and normal, but in real life, the behaviors are only regarded as abnormal people, clowns, mental patients, anti-social personality, etc.. Our pursuit of freedom will only be squeezed by those in power and labelled as cultism.

 

What is freedom anyway? Birdman is not a strange person, he just wants to be himself.  But society does not allow it. We need to meet the scrutiny of the upper class and become the people they like. I always feel that pigeons are so stupid and have no purpose. They will gather wherever there are many of the same species, constantly searching for food. They have no ideals. It seems that we only follow the instructions of our superiors, continue to work, satisfy their inconsistent work, and become the best (stupidest) employees in the company. There are countless people like this in Hong Kong. They gradually choose to give up the pursuit of freedom, and they do not oppose being exploited. It seems that it has never existed, and freedom is so easy to disappear.

 

The story has a surreal and unreasonable plot, which may not make people think of the above. For the current state, it would be better to be unclear, and it would be better to treat it as a strange and funny movie.
